About “The Underground City”
Cu Chi Tunnels is located at Provincial Road 15, Phu Hiep Hamlet, Phu Hung Commune, Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City 70km northwest of the center. The tunnels played an important role in major battles, including the Tet Offensive of 1968 and the Great Spring Victory of 1975.
The Cu Chi Tunnels consisted of a network of underground tunnels, earth tunnels, underground bases, storage rooms, offices, kitchens and infirmaries. This system is vast, stretching over an area of more than 250 square kilometers. The tunnels are usually low and narrow in height, and are dug manually with rudimentary materials. This system was dug by the Viet Minh resistance army and the National Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam during the Indochina War and the war of resistance against America.
Cu Chi Tunnels are increasingly developing, not only is it a military project and a national historical relic, but Cu Chi Tunnels is also an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists, attracting millions of visitors each year.

After your breakfast, our driver (WITH GUIDE) will pick you up at your hotel and take you to Cu Chi. (Our Cu Chi Tunnels tour will last for 5 hours: 1,5 hours driving to the tunnel – 2 hours of visiting – 1,5 driving back to city)
Before exploring the tunnels, you will watch an introductory video about how the tunnels were made and how Vietnamese people survived in the harsh conditions of the wartime.
When arriving at Cu Chi Tunnels, you will experience lots of interesting activities, including:

In the afternoon, after you done exploring, the driver will take you to HCM city and take you on the city tour.
Start with a visit to the city’s most iconic building: Reunification Hall. Formerly called the Presidential Palace, images of the building were seen around the world on 30 April 1975 when tanks stormed the gates. Hear the echoes of time while walking through this historic downtown site.
Then take a stroll to Ho Chi Minh City’s colonial quarter, walking past scenes of everyday life on the way. Admire the beautiful architecture of the Opera House, City Hall, the old Saigon Post Office, hear about the glory days of French Indochina and how that era continues to influence aspects of modern Vietnamese culture.
When finish, back to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at your leisure.
